Oregano
Oregano is the common name of the Origanum Onites plant. The essential oil of Oregano comes from steam distillation of the leaves and flowers of the plant which is different from the common oregano. It has a strong characteristic aroma and is often called castane oil. The essential oil of Oregano is used in aromatherapy, primarily to combat respiratory problems such as asthma, bronchitis and cough. Its strong antimicrobial, anti-bacterial, antifungal, and antiparasitic action is also known.
